I think people should play whatever make them happy and they are interested in.  And especially younger kids are just sponges, they will play and learn anything (they don&#039;t know or assume anything is difficult so they just get on with it.)
I&#039;m sure you would be a great guitar hero.  At least they let you sing.   :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. 
It sounds like you have found the way to learn how to play rock guitar. I know when folks are trying to learn something new it gets frustrating when you buy stuff with your hard earned money and it&#039;s crap. Even guitar lessons.
My son wanted guitar lessons, but now he had migrated to drums.
Do you play in front of people yet? You will. It takes time and patience to learn something well enough that you can feel confident to show other people.
I played a guitar once. Guitar Hero. My kids told me to stop and made me sing cause I knew all the songs. 
No Rockstar life for me!

Thanks again. I really enjoyed your honesty.
